February is National Library Lover’s Month, and there’s no better time to celebrate the incredible role the Medicine Hat Public Library (MHPL) plays in our community. Our team is proud to actively sponsor MHPL and the Library Card for Every Hatter campaign, ensuring that library cards remain free for everyone in Medicine Hat. Opening a book is opening a portal to infinite realities, only limited by the scope of your imagination. Books are like a universal passport, offering everyone a chance to explore new worlds, discover fresh ideas, and experience adventures, no matter who you are or where you come from.

What Does the Library Offer?

Free Library Cards for Every Hatter

Through the Library Card for Every Hatter campaign, library cards are available at no cost to all residents of Medicine Hat. This means that every individual, regardless of income, has access to the incredible resources MHPL offers. By removing the barrier of cost, this initiative ensures that reading, learning, and personal growth remain accessible to everyone. Aside from being a form of relaxation and an escape from everyday stressors, reading also improves vocabulary, language skills, and concentration.

How Businesses Can Get Involved

The success of this program is made possible through community sponsorships. Businesses, organizations, and individuals who believe in the power of literacy and lifelong learning can contribute to making a difference. Here’s how you can get involved:
